Ghena, I wanted to congratulate you on launching the Russian Opera Workshop. It is fantastic to know that more young singers will have access to your knowledge, expertise and your wonderful Russian soul!  Thank you again for your amazing work on our Tchaikovsky Program.  It was one of Lyric Fest's proudest moments.

With best wishes and high hopes for more Russian opera in America,

Suzanne DuPlantis
Co-Founding Artistic Director
Lyric Fest

Ghenady Meirson, Founder

"Meirson, the emissary of Russian music to Philadelphia, gave every note its exacting Russian accent. ... [audience] admiring the singing and Meirson's symphonic playing."

               The Philadelphia Inquirer

You come. You like. You share.

It's a tradition. Lots of fun and great music making.

Pizza and happy juice party. After Iolanta dress run we rehearsed the Nutcracker ballet. Yes, we decided to recapture the excitement of Iolanta/Nutcracker double-bill premier of 1892. Tchaikovsky would be proud.

After two straight runs of entire Eugene Onegin singers took a minute to record a video invitation for upcoming performances. The week was filled with intense master classes and final dress rehearsals.

Congratulations, Ghena, on your exciting new Russian Opera Workshop! I treasure the memory of our collaboration on Tchaikovsky's "Iolanta" at AVA. Your Workshop students are lucky to work with you, since you are not only a visionary musician but also a gifted pedagogue, willing and able to share your knowledge and your world so generously with those whom you teach. I wish you all success on this new venture!

Sincerely,
