In 2021, Russian Opera Workshop continues as a VirtualRole Study Workshop.
Our 11th season includes two separate sessions of popular Tchaikovsky standards, Iolanta (June 7-18, 2021)and Eugene Onegin (July 5-16, 2021).
Auditions for this summer workshop are not required. Spots are limited.
Application deadline is April 1, 2021orwhen the program is filled, whichever occurs first.

Program Overview
Artists receive self-guided materials ahead of the workshop.
Intensive daily role study.
Daily Russian language class with Prof. Olia Prokopenko (Temple).
Russian lyric diction, vocal coaching, style and interpretation, and opera lecture class with Ghenady Meirson (AVA, Curtis).
Daily role preparation coaching with Gabriel Rebolla (Temple), Elise Auerbach (AVA, Temple) and Ting Ting Wong (AVA, Curtis, Temple).
Guests include international opera stars Angela Meade and Bryan Hymel, the General Manager of San Francisco Opera Center, Markus Beam, and the preeminent audition coach and AVA faculty, Thor Eckert.
